Supporters of renewable energy say there will be new jobs for technicians to install rooftop solar arrays and backyard windmills, jobs at manufacturers making parts for utility-scale wind and solar equipment, and jobs in agriculture, harvesting biomass.

In addition, they say, these jobs won’t get outsourced.

“We’re not going to import biofuel from Saudi Arabia,” said Dan Kammen, a professor in the Energy and Resources Group at the University of California Berkeley.

“The installation of solar panels is not something that can be exported,” said George Sterzinger, head of the Renewable Energy Policy Project. “These are good, skilled, well-paying jobs.”

you might consider akns into your green jobs boom. i’m in at 3-4$ gonna hold for awhile, might sell 1/2 at hi teens spike.

they have new technolopgy to incorporate solar cells into asthetic rooftop installs.

their proprietary technology reduces instal costs and makes it pretty.

    stp is a non-exclusive partner.

just listed, low float, hi service revenues.

in california, good tax location, and gov’t might end up pumping much dinero in their coffers.

Yeh I’ve been watching AKNS for awhile. Its been on my watchlist for a long time. I never seem to be able to pay attention to it at the right time. When it ran big over the summer I thought it was too far gone for me. Then I forgot about the stock when it pulled back perfectly to the 4 dollar area in September. I think there might have been one day around that early Sept time where I considered making a buy. I didn’t act and boom its gone again. Huge move though. Congrats.

AKNS is on my list of green stocks I track though.
