The Street Liked First Solar\’s Earnings FSLR
Solar Stocks October 29th, 2008
The street liked FSLR\’s earnings. If you were able to get any of the solar bargain stocks, they are all going to be up huge on the back of FSLR\’s earnings.
This was a huge buying opportunity in these solar stocks that we just went through. I hope you got at least one of them.
Solar Bargains!
Solar Stocks October 19th, 2008
There are some serious solar stocks that are bargains right now.
We know that the solar trend is here to stay because its not a competing fuel with petroleum so lower petrol prices don\’t affect its growth.
One of the biggest obstacles to solar is the initial cost. The recent bailout bill had a major earmark for potential solar customers. The drawback is that the waning economy is going to cause middle class buyers to not purchase solar systems. However, wealthier individuals are now more likely to buy a setup.
So with that said, lets look at the solar stocks that are rated cheap on a fundamental valuation basis.
All of these solar stocks have PE\’s under 10 except for CY, but its PE is 10.5.
JASO, TSL, SOLF, SOL, LDK, CY (technically a semi co. with a large stake in SPWR), CSIQ, YGE, SOLR, CSUN, STP, and ESLR.
So if the same growth prospects are still on the table for solar companies, then these stocks are cheap.
Solar Stock Sector Is Heating Up
Solar Stocks February 13th, 2008
Oh I\’m such a cheesy title producer. This post was actually supposed to be posted yesterday before today\’s big solar sector move, but for some reason it didn\’t post. I\’ve personally been trading some solar stocks over this past week before todays big move and wanted to put out a list of solar stocks that are moving. As the price of OIL stabilizes, solar and other clean energy stocks will be back in favor.
The big players:
STP, JASO, FSLR, SPWR, WFR, TSL, LDK, AMAT
The smaller players:
CSUN, AKNS, SOLF, CSIQ, SOL, DSTI, CTDC, ESLR, HOKU, XSNX, WWAT
Feel free to add any I may have missed in the comments.
Clean Stocks Breaking Upwards
Energy Efficiency Stocks, Lighting Stocks, Solar Stocks, Wind Power Stocks December 29th, 2007
Aside from the crazy ones that have moved lately like ASTI today, the Ethanol stocks have all had nice two and three week runs (VSE, PEIX, USBE, ANDE, MGPI), and SOLF and CSUN lately in the China solar arena. Lets check out some some of the forgotten ones. Well at least forgotten over the last month or so.
I would also take a look at COMV and ITRI. I\’m looking for pullbacks in the major alt-energy etf\’s because the big solar names FSLR look more like short term sells rather than new buys. ZOLT might have a little room to the upside too.

I\’m in ZOLT and thats giving buy signals now on my scans.

PUW – Clean energy ETF
HOKU – Talked about it before. It popped big this week, looks like there might be more coming.
